With the number of heart patients rising in the country, speakers have called upon people to follow a healthy diet to avoid cardiac diseases, saying there was a need for a new determination between medical care providers and the government to tackle the growing burden of heart disease. A two-day international conference on "cardiovascular diseases" as a threat to National Development was organized by the Pakistan National Heart Association (Panah) at the Armed forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) Rawalpindi with the aim to discuss the reasons for the increase in cases of heart disease and share suggestions for prevention, awareness, and importance of simple lifestyle.
